Sony launches Selfie Centred Xperia C5 Ultra and Xperia M5. Both the devices will be available in market from mid of August. However, price of both the devices is not revealed, but will be on the day of its launch.
Both the devices will be available on single and dual sim variant.
Xperia C5 Ultra
Sony’s Xperia C series is conceived as a selfie-lover’s smartphone as its predecessor Xperia C3 has a front facing camera of 5MP with a LED flash. Xperia C5 is somewhat similar but far ahead when compared to its predecessor. It has 13MP of rear as well as front camera along with LED flash. Both the cameras have Sony’s Exmor RS sensor. Camera includes many features classified as camera tools like video stabiliser, auto scene recognition, 25mm wide-angle lens (rear) with an 80-degree field of view, 4x digital zoom, full-HD video recording, image stabiliser, geotagging, and red-eye reduction among others.
Talking about its specifications, Xperia C5 Ultra is powered by a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek (MT6752) processor clocked at 1.7GHz coupled with ARM Mali760 GPU. It has 2GB of RAM with 16GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded up to 200GB with the help of microSD card. The device weighs 187 grams with dimensions 164.2 x 79.6 x 8.2 mm. It sports a 6 inches of 1080 x 1920 pixels display, ~367 ppi of pixel density, Mobile BRAVIA® Engine 2 along with Super Vivid Mode. However its not dust proof or water proof unlike other Sony handsets. Its connectivity options are GPRS/ EDGE, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, Glonass, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, 3G, and 4G LTE (not available in all markets). It comes with Google Android v5.0(Lollipop), with 2930 mAh of battrey which provides more than 14 hrs of talktime and Standby time of up to 769 hours.
Sony Xperia M5 is expected to be a mid range smartphone, which is a waterproof device too. It features IP65 and IP68 certification making the handset water and dust proof. Much like Sony’s flagship smartphones, the Xperia M5 also features a cap-less USB port.
Xperia M5 too has a 13-megapixel front-facing camera with Sony’s Exmor RS sensor. However its has 21.5 MP of rear camera with Sony’s Hybrid Auto-focus with an aperture of f/2.2.
It is powered by 64-bit octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 (MT6795) processor clocked at 2.o Ghz with 3GB RAM. The device has 5 inches of 1080 x 1920 pixels display with ~441 ppi of pixel density. It supports GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, and 4G (not available in all markets) connectivity options. It is packed with 2600 mAh of battrey which gives a standby time of approx. 671 hours. It too has 16GB of internal memory wihcih can be expanded with help of external microSD card for upto 200GB similar to that of Xperia C5 Ultra. It is boxed with Google Android v5.0(Lollipop).
