Samsung has launched its Galaxy S6 Edge+ in India and will be available from 28 August and onwards. The company in its invite said, “Experience the new Edge in innovation.”
Galaxy S6 Edge+ is a bigger variant of Galaxy S6 Edge. The 32GB variant of the Galaxy S6 Edge+ has been priced at Rs 57,900 while the 64GB variant has been given a miss, for now. The smartphone will go on sale on August 28, while pre-orders were open from Wednesday. The device is available in White Pearl, Black Sapphire, Gold Platinum, and Silver Titanium color variants.
The device flaunts a 5.7 inches of QHD Super-Amoled display with a 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution along with a pixel density of 515ppi. It is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Exynos 7420 processor along with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM. It dimensions are 154.4×75.8×6.9mm, and it weighs 153 grams.
The device has 16MP, f1.9 rear camera with OIS along with a 5MP, f1.9 front facing camera with front snapper. Also it comes in box with Android Lollipop v5.1. It will be available in 32GB and 64GB of internal space but it doesn’t supports microSD card. However, Samsung will also be providing 100GB of OneDrive cloud storage for free. Also it has a 3000mAh non-removable battery. In terms of connectivity Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ includes 4G LTE, NFC, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS/ A-GPS, and Micro-USB 2.0.
The Galaxy S6 edge+ also features 4K(UHD) video filming and Live Broadcast, which lets users instantly live stream Full HD video straight from the phone to any individual, group of contacts, or even the public through YouTube Live. Samsung at the global launch had confirmed that the smartphone features Fast Charging technology for both wired and wireless (WPC and PMA) options. Wired charging will deliver full charge in roughly 90 minutes, and with the new wireless charger, full charge is delivered in roughly 120 minutes, according to Samsung.
