The BlackBerry-like Keyboard Cover, it will be priced around $80 (Rs. 5,200). A physical keyboard as an accessory for its new premium phones is an attempt by Samsung to tap consumers who still prefer physical Qwerty keyboards over touchscreens. The plastic keyboard gives you the same satisfying chunk you’d get from a BlackBerry. It also has the navigation shortcuts you’d find below your Galaxy’s screen: home, back and recent apps.
The moment the user snaps on the keyboard, the smartphone automatically recognizes and also adjusts the user interface accordingly. As each key press is registered by the touchscreen underneath, you do not need to connect the cover via Bluetooth. The keyboard is lightweight and thus, carrying around shouldn’t be much of an issue. It can also be snapped to the backside of the smartphone. The new Keyboard Cover will be compatible with both the new Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ smartphones. It will be available in Black, Gold, and Silver colours.
Along with this cover, Samsung also launched other accessories for its new smartphones, including a Clear View Cover, wireless charger, Level headphones, and Battery packs.
