Lava Pixel V1: Android One 2.0

Android One, an initiative by Google with smartphone manufacturers to bring affordable smartphones in emerging market like INDIA, has climbed up to its second generation.

Lava, in partnership with Google, has launched its first Android One smartphone in India, named Pixel V1, Priced at Rs. 11,350 exclusively on Flipkart from 27/7/2015. Smartphone will be available in offline stores as well.


The phone comes with 5.5-inch, 1280×720 pixels and IPS display having 267ppi of pixel density with Asahi Dragontrail Glass for protection. Chipset inside is most likely the Mediatek MT6582, judging by the 1.3GHz quad-core processor and Mali-400MP2 GPU, clocked at 500MHz. It comes with 2GB RAM and 32Gb internal memory also storage capacity can be expanded to an additional 32 GB using a microSD card.


Phone comes with 13MP AF Rear camera with flash, 5P Largan Lens and 8 MP Front Camera and is powered by 2,650mAh along with Dual-SIM, 3G, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity.


Talking about its OS version, the phone has Android L v5.1.1(Lollipop) with stock android also it will get 2 year of OS update as promised by the developers and will be first among all others Android One devices to receive update.

As compared to its counterparts i.e. previous Android One devices, Lava Pixel V1 seems to be quite promising one as its features are pretty much upgraded and seems to be satisfactory as compared to the older Android One devices.
