ES File Explorer Material UI update in v4.0
The new update brings a all-white look which looks quite interesting than the previous black and grey interface.
The bottom row of action buttons has been moved to the top of the screen, except for the “new file” and “new folder” buttons, which are now accessible via the floating action button in the bottom corner. The icons have also been replaced with flatter and smoother looking icons than before. The file explorer is available as a free download for Android devices running on Android 2.0 or later and is also available for Android TV. Also the icons has been updated.
Its the most popular file explorer among Android users and is supported by devices running on v2.0 and above so the UI change may prove bad news for users running on pretty old Android OS, however its just a rumor the whole story will get clear as the update rolls out.
Keeping the UI change and icons aside, there are usual set of bug fixes and performance improvements expected, but all in all design is the main improvement.
The new updated UI offers a clean and simple perspective of what used to be a cluttered experience. In addition, the developer has removed the lower bar and placed all options on top.
However the update has not hit the Play Store but will be available soon.
