Android Experiments: Are you Creative?

images (2)has launched Android Experiments, a new site in which the company will showcase what you can do with open source Android and Android Wear apps.

The new site is similar to Google’s Chrome Experiments which focused on web apps, but this time around the focus is all mobile. There are 19 experiments featured in the gallery as of the time of this writing, all of which are open source and most of which are available for download from the Google Play store.

“Our hope is to encourage more developers to challenge how we interact with the devices we use every day,” reads the gallery’s description on the Android Experiments website.

Anyone can submit his or her own project through this form on the Android Experiments website. This looks like a fun way to showcase what’s possible with the technologies in Android and modern phones. More importantly, though, the fact that all of the apps will be open source will allow other developers to learn from these experiments.

Experiment! Have fun! Share your views!
